Reinsurance Broking

IIBRe is the reinsurance broking arm of Gallagher Caribbean Group. It is the first such reinsurance intermediary in the Caribbean, handling treaty and facultative reinsurance placements in the international marketplace. Our team consists of qualified, experienced and competent insurance professionals who have developed an extensive understanding of reinsurance and alternative risk transfer solutions.  Our clients include local and regional insurance companies, brokers and captive insurance companies domiciled in Cayman, Bermuda, St. Lucia and the Turks and Caicos Islands.

We have direct access to markets in Europe, North America and Bermuda and trade with leading reinsurers such as, Munich Re, Swiss Re and Hannover Re. Through our International Correspondents, and our parent company Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., we access the London/Lloyd’s restricted markets. 

Captive Administration

A Captive is an insurance vehicle which allows its parent company to manage its risk management and transfer strategy by acting as its own insurer. Risks held by this insurer can be reinsured in the international marketplace or retained by the captive insurance company as necessary.

A captive vehicle is an ideal Alternative Risk Transfer solution for large corporations that need a long term solution to managing complex risks within a tax friendly environment.
